There are indications that
mom is getting to her old age
She easily forgets things she just did
yet she could tell the stories years ago (e.g: abt her childhood), unerringly
She becomes sleepless at night
She is alert to every sound and movement (particularly the action of myself........)
but she cannot listen clearly when I talk to her
Frankly, my mother and I did not form close relationship all along
not even after the decease of father
I always try to keep my distance from her
Sometimes I am assailed by doubts whether I am concerned about her
or it is only because of responsibility
