Its hard not to follow the multitude

Happy Mother's Day

I love Central

All cities posses CBD; Central is the main business district of HK

The day and night of Central are so different. During daytime, it is so bustling that you cannot even stop walking. People will push you from behind to carry on

It is full of exhausted, stress and tension

However it is completely opposite at night. It is like the city finally released from bustle and trying to give herself some fresh air

There are less people walking on the streets
People are hanging out somewhere within the district. I love having a cup of coffee in a small cafe, while at the same time looking at people having fun with friends after long working hours

I enjoy these peaceful moments

again.... being a mother

Speaking of the responsibility of being a mother, I noticed an extreme case in my office
Perhaps I shouldn't be talking about this here, since some persons reading this also know her (I know you are reading!)

The girl.. well, that woman, is a typical case: she works for her family and has no objective towards her career

She hired a maid to take care of her kids, and she works to feed her maid (boss)
It is such a headache to her if her boss takes leave, because she would have to take leave as well in order to take care of her kids
Everytime she talks about herself: kids, hubby, hubby's work, maid, kids's school teachers, again kids, hubby once again...

No objective. No interests or hobbies. No other thing
She has no personal life at all

I got so tired just seeing this
If being a mother is the duty of every girl, I truly doubt if I am qualified for this job

Being a mother

A few of my friends have become mothers in their 20's; another will give birth at the end of year, she is also 26. When I was having dinner with those girls & their kids, I thought to myself: would I become a mother, too?

I remember that when I had conflicts with my mom, she said this to me: One day when you have kids, you'd know how I feel now. And I yelled: You don't have to worry about that, I will never be a mother. No!

Raising a child requires lots of love and patience and it is such a heavy responsibility

Some parents do not give much attention to their children; some are really concerned about their kids, but at the same time they bring pressure, too. Most of them feed their children well materially, yet they fail to pass values on to them. I don't want to give my child a painful childhood: If I can't promise my kid a happy life, I'd prefer not to have one
